 There are two distinct possibilities which most succinctly clarify the recent controversy regarding Manny Pacquiao’s unwillingness to submit to Floyd Mayweather Jr’s request for random blood testing. The first, being the more palatable and tedious of the two, places the pound-for-pound bests together quite deliberately, hashing out the details of all the ways they plan to empty their freshly fattened bank accounts come March 14th. Imagine. Negotiations were surprisingly smooth and the lemonade was just a tad too sweet for summer, when suddenly, amidst allegations of illegal drug use, Team Pacquiao initially agrees to the opponent’s testing requests and then turns an about face for no apparent reason whatsoever. If the book of Revelations is any measure, this just might be the last days and the two greatest fighters in the world just might be feigning impasse before they have their real conflict in the ring.
Ever the businessmen, the scent of a collective decision to amp up the prefight hype has clogged the newsroom like a jammed press. The upside being that if such is the case, then boxing aficionados can sleep soundly, confident that the most anticipated fight in recent memory rests just a few pay-per-view dates away, despite every newsman’s allusion to the contrary. After all, it wouldn’t be boxing if there weren’t at least a little controversy.
Our alternative is undoubtedly the harder pill to swallow.
If one party suspects another of foul play, it is well within its rights to request proof of legitimacy as long as the methods of acquiring that proof are deemed reasonable by appropriate authorities. Olympic doping standards are the most stringent and elite on Earth, but they are a far cry from unreasonable. If there is some reason that they are not acceptable to Manny Pacquiao, he should be obliged to justify his objection with something more substantial than some vague superstition about needles and blood.
If the available information is to be taken at face value and this drama is an actual one, then the themes playing out here lend themselves well to human nature and psychology. Falsely accused parties usually jump at the opportunity to prove their innocence. Justifiably or not, Manny Pacquiao’s unwillingness to lay the question to rest has only served to nourish Floyd Mayweather Sr’s once seemingly paranoid ranting.
Manny Pacquiao has proven himself to be an exceptional talent wrapped inside a remarkable physical specimen. It would benefit him to think of the hoopla surrounding the legitimacy of his accomplishments as perhaps the greatest compliment any fighter can ever receive. Many of his peers watch in disbelief at what he has been able to accomplish in the ring and to them, his development from one-dimensional slugger to versatile powerpuncher seems literally impossible. Their belief has led them to suspect foul play. Such is the unfortunate reality in an age of rampant drug abuse by world-class athletes spanning the globe. But there is no harm in a few tests to lay all that to rest.
It says here that if Pacquiao–Mayweather does not happen as a result of this most recent drug testing controversy, then it might be precisely because Manny Pacquiao really was consuming illegal drugs. Surely no amount of pride or superstition or purported offense would be enough to overwhelm the incentive of likely sixty million plus dollars, in addition to the opportunity to definitely prove oneself the single greatest fighter of his era. On the contrary, if anything, to be falsely accused should provide increased motivation to demonstrate the truth, once and for all, first in the laboratory and then finally in the only place that any of us will ever remember in the end.

There is a reason that Pacman disagreed to this kind of testing- look it up, Pacquiao vs Morales I.
Delahoya and Mayweather knew this. It’s an easy puzzle to solve moron. If Pacman agrees, he’s coming in to the Mayweather fight below his usual 100%. If Pacman disagrees, then both Golden Boy Promotions and Mayweather Promotions would have a feast on accusing Pacman of using drugs. Baseless speculations.
Pacman has agreed to all other available drug testing other than blood samples. Is that enough- it SHOULD BE, especially since all other fighters undergo the same tests anyway. Otherwise if it is unreliable, then all other fighters would get away with using it and be great champs too.
So why are they pulling this nasty cheap shot at Pacman? Simple. Mayweather can continue to pretend that he is close to being a good fighter with his immaculate record (Lemme hear you try hard avoiding the other greats in your weight division as Cotto and Mosley). Delahoya is simply just a green eyed monster who refuses to accept that some non-American has surpassed his record 6 titles in different weight divisions. You quitted in 8 against Manny dude. She said, currently, to be convicted of an EPO offense athletes must test positive for EPO with the urine EPO test. The blood test is just the cheapr way to do it. The whole interview here.

I also found an interview with Pacqauio on a Philippine television posted on youtube. The interview was made back in 2005 after his lost to Morales. The date of the interview can only be verified by the end of the video where they mentioned about the upcoming rematch against Morales. Pacquiao definitely has fears on having a blood test few days before the fight
Note: This interview was conducted in tagalog..but basically he was saying that the Nevada commissions’ record of his blood sample was misplaced and they needed to draw another sample. The blood was drawn 2 days before the fight. Pacquiao said he felt weak after that.

If Pacquiao cheats he can be caught by the blood test right after the fight. So what’s the difference? Let me break it down for you, pacquiao single-handedly made boxing relevant again! he provided excitement and was carrying the sport on his back. Because of him, casual fans gets attracted to the sport. If you heard some news about him, he is a freak of nature when it comes to training. He works so hard that his trainers beg him to stop. His ability is a result of hard work.
Now, we came to a situation where Floyd is demanding random blood test up to 48 hours before the fight. THIS IS UNPRECEDENTED! No boxer in the history of the sport has ever had to go through this! Now the question is, Why only Manny is being requested to do this? Manny is saying this is not in the rules of the governing body and if ever the commission asked him to, he will oblige.
THIS IS OUTRIGHT DISCRIMINATION AND HARASSMENT! Why would the pound for pound king and the person who worked so hard and carried the sport on his back be treated like this when he had never ever tested positive of anything illegal? If they are gonna include random blood test, it should be applicable to everybody and not just in this fight. But guess what, it is only to be applied in this fight which will only mean that Manny is being treated unfairly. He already agreed to blood tests 3 times (outside the rules of the commission) and still aint good enough.

Pacman’s refusal to having his blood drawn a day or two before the fight is legit. He had an allergic reaction to blood being drawn with the first morales fight. He talks about the experience in a video interview back in 2005. go google it.
Pacman has agreed to unlimited random urine tests plus blood test, 30 days before and right after the fight. That’s going beyond all obligation as a fighter.
He has never ever tested positive for anything.
The question is not “is pacquiao on drugs” THE REAL QUESTION IS …. “why is Mayweather refusing to fight Pacquiao under NORMAL boxing rules and regulations?”
The answer is either he is scared and afraid to fight pacquiao or he is seeking an unfair advantage of fighting a weaken blood drained smaller opponent.

And you left out the option that to me is closer to the truth — that a group of individuals have intentionally and maliciously smeared another man’s name.

If you did your research, you would have found the article/ YouTube of pacquiao explaining why drawing blood was the reason he lost to morales. I guess the americans cant really believe that filipinos have a different culture than them. They cant believe that Manny Paquiao will choose dignity over the millions of dollars. I’ts hard to explain but that’s how conservative filipino’s like Paquiao were raised. Most of the conservative and poor filipinos will fight and kill for their dignity and belief.
If you are an american its really hard to understand this because of the money involve is big but for us filipinos we understand Manny Paquiao pretty well. He values his dignity and he fears God.
Manny grew up in Visayan region. Filipinos who grew up there are also known for having a strong physical attributes. They maybe small but they are really strong. The mountains, fresh food, fresh air and their lifestyle and the genes made them strong not steroids. Ask any filipinos and they know that visayan are strong.

There is a number of fallacies that you based your arguments on, then ultimately, your conclusion is flawed. You stated:

False. Pacquiao never said this personally but probably from somebody in his camp opinion. What he said in a documented You-tube interview is that he had a bad experience with blood being drawn out of him for testing a few days before his fight first fight with Morales. He said he definitely lost strength and this was confirmed by Morales himself that his punches had no sting on them. Look what happened on their 2nd and 3rd fights.

Re-read what that Olympic runner said when he was practically “blood-drained” as the Olympic committee drug testing practically poked him with needles so many times during the Olympic days.
If you are really fair and balance in your reporting why don’t you state also that Pacquiao proposed a more reasonable schedule to have his blood drawned one a couple of months before, another one 30 days before and the final one right after the fight in his dressing room? Pacquiao’s team greatly suspect that the Mayweather team will manipulate and abuse the “at random” taking of blood samples to sabotage his training. Knowing this family, do you think that’s not possible to happen?
Lastly, you overlooked the most important thing: It is obvious that Mayweather needs this fight more than Pacquiao. Pacquiao can retire now and is already assured of a “hall of fame” accolade. Not Mayweather who will be labelled all his life to be cherry- picking his opponents. Money has lots of money and can retire anytime. Floyd? Ask the IRS. Who has to prove something? Definitely Mayweather! Now against this backdrop, here comes say a businessman trying to negotiate a deal. Before he sits down, he wants to send his bodyguard to frisk you, make sure that you don’t have a tape-recorder, you don’t have a blue-tooth getting extra advise from your legal council, etc., with all those preconditions and show disrespect, would you still negotiate with the upcoming businessman?? That’s is exactly what the Mayweather wants. In the words of Arum, they want to put Pacquiao on leash so that they can jerk the leash anytime the want.

It is just so frustrating to note that some people are trying to discredit a good man. A man who doesn’t need to trash talk and would even tell his Trainer to be a gentleman amid what Floyd Sr. been dishing to the public before the Hatton fight.

Pacquiao is not running from the test. He just don’t want blood taken from him close to fight night. Blood test 30days before the fight, unlimited urine test if they want for that 30 days and blood test again right after the fight. A cheating fighter will not do these terms. Manny is not a cheater. Mayweather’s camp is planning to cheat Manny just like what Morales camp did in their first encounter. How could they take blood from Manny two days before the fight with Morales for the reason they lost the record. What a dirty tactic.

We are govern by law, like boxing commission. It’s all good, its understandable that a lot of people question Manny’s refusal. As one of PacHuggers, I myself questioned why he didn’t want to take the test. Big whoop right? Yah big whooop for people like you, me, and others that is. I wouldn’t care if it was me because it don’t bother me. But Manny does, because of the test and it’s conditions. Random testing??? Manny and team Pacquiao doesn’t know how random and how close to the actual fight these testing(s) will take place. Nobody knows. 1. Manny doesn’t need to take these tests to fight today, agree?
2. Manny has said he believes this type of testing will give him a disadvantage. agree?
3. These type of negative thoughts such belief of “being disadvantaged” are probably not better than positive thoughts entering the fight, agree?
4. None of us really know which following items Manny values most: money, honor, legacy, etc… Agree?
5. Floyd has said in public he can beat Manny easily and that he is far superior technically, agree?
There have been some recent articles that have had medical professionals state that Pacquiao’s request of a scheduled time period of non random testing can and will discover ePO or HGH. Manny’s has taken his stance and he’s got the right to do it. Floyd has taken his stance and he has the right to it as well. The boxing federations must mandate a change their to their anti-doping testing programs for all. Otherwise, I don’t blame Manny for his actions. This is a lose lose situation for Manny. Team Pacquiao never turned around with the issue of blood testing. ODLH, GBP CEO and other loud mouths should have waited before announcing in the public about what they feel on Pacman refusing ‘Mayweather-ordered random blood testing”. In fact, Pacman is not against blood testing.
So now I can say ( as a suspicion ), that Mayweather’s 40-0 clean record is questionable since none of these fights were subjected to random blood testing…

Because a number boxers can’t believe that an Asian ( particularly a Filipino ) was able to claim 7 world titles in seven weight divisions. First man to do such an accomplishment and not an American with a clean 40-0 record.

When we seek for the truth, most simply say we must outright prove it. In this case, most of mayweather’s cohorts shout out that pacquiao proves it by subjecting himself to the test. The fact of the matter is that, pacquiao is willing to undergo series of blood testing and even unlimited urine testing as long as he can piss. But the mayweather camp did not stop there, they want to ensure that pacquiao give in to their demands: random blood tests and the agency of their choosing. Again, pacquiao could have easily gave way to the demands. But why sue the mayweather’s? Writer’s should be more responsible enough to point out the precedent of the law suit. At some point, pacquiao did not entertain the thought of suing them in spite of the demands. That is in consideration of the on going negotiation for the fight. The truth of the matter is, even before the negotiation started, the mayweather’s started throwing the allegations, and from their words so sure that pacquiao is “into some supplements”. This is done in any form of multimedia, and in total disregard of the NSAC’s findings. Mr. writer, I will not be able to push you to do it, but I will let you know that you have to compile all the statements that mayweather and his cohorts have circulated about pacquiao and his alleged, unproven use of steroids. This has placed the reputation of a man know for his hardwork in training and the open mind to learn more not to say his the best, but to try his best to just give the performance for the boxing fans and give them their hard earned money’s worth. We are in modern high tech age.
Yet USADA is still doing the old fashion way of testing just to test PED.
I think USADA’s laboratory machine and equipment are primitive obsolete to do harmful way of blood testing.
People are now taking flu shots without needle.
Doctors are taking DNA on hair, sweat, nail, tooth without harming the patient.
Yet, USADA is still using the vampire like sucking equipment that goes to your skin and vein that makes you dizzy, pain, and numb.

They watched a video back in 2005 documenting exactly what pac was saying all along. That he was weak when taken blood a day before the fight. Both fighters took a blood test 30 days before the fight. Then NBAC lost pacs blood sample and records on the computer. He was fasting not eating anything and wasnt allowed to drink water so he could make the weigh-in. They surprised him and asked him to take another blood test. Morales records werent lost so he didnt have too. When he took the blood test he felt numb behind his neck and felt dizzy he had to lay down that day. In the fight he felt weak and his punches were weak. He lost the fight because he was at only 90% while Morales was at 100%. Ever since 2005 he suspected foul play watch the video on Youtube before you judge Pac that he was lying that blood test made him weak!!

Manny had an interview in the Philippines regarding the taking of blood on the 1st Morales fight. He said, he was coming down in weight and cannot eat nor drink water and then was surprise that blood has to be taken from him and that is just a couple of days before the fight (maybe less). After the blood was taken, the doctor instructed him to take some water of which he cannot because he was coming down in weight. He felt dizzy and affected him knowing that he cannot comply with what the doctor instructed. This is a very legitimate reason why he does not want blood taken a day or two before the fight. Unlike other sports, boxing is demanding. It is life and death in the ring. We as mere spectators cannot make our opinion as the bench mark of whether Manny’s protest is valid or not. It is always easy for us to say that a few drops of blood will not hurt because we do not go through the regiment of what boxer do a few days before the fight especially if they are coming down in weight. Mayweather is not concern because he has a habit of deifying any agreement if it does not meet his fancy. You cannot simplify this case and conclude that Manny has something to hide because of that. The fact that he is willing to be tested in all forms after the fight lends support that the only concern Manny has is his top form come fight night. I question Mayweather’s doubt. The doubt is simply the match so they can start the fire against Manny. Once they lit the match, they can now hammer him with accusations so appalling, malicious, and mischievous. The whole idea of steroid use is to discredit Manny and his achievements. The whole tenor of this fiasco is really to discredit Manny’s gains and at the same time in a very calculated sense accuse him of taking PED’s and poor writers like you took Mayweather’s bluff - bate, hook, line and sinker wholesale.

Why is taking blood test right after the fight not good enough? I’ve read that PED cannot be flushed out of your system that easy. If Mayweather is afraid that Manny will ditch the blood drawing and fly back to the Philippines then include in the contract that Manny will not get his $$$ unless he gives his blood sample right after the fight. If they want they can draw the blood in the ring after the fight. Sounds fair enough.

The USADA tests might be the best available at the moment but still it does not give 100% certainty that those who passed the tests really do not take those illegal substances for which the tests were designed to detect. So even if Pacquiao passed the tests detractors will be quick to proclaim that he passed the tests only because he got lucky and slipped through the random nature of the procedure. You see the only way to get 100% certainty is to extract blood for testing 100% of the time, meaning daily extraction of blood. This is the only case that anyone wanting 100% certainty would be willing to support to ensure that the two fighters are indeed free from these banned substances. However who would want to see a fight between two wrinkled prunes. For those who believe in Pacquiao the current Nevada Board tests are sufficient but to those who do not believe, no kind of tests(which can never be perfectly loop-hole free) and amount of blood is sufficient to change their mind. Attacks inside the ring can and should be met with an active defense and agressive counter attack IN THE RING. But attacks outside the ring must be met with an active defense and counter attack OUTSIDE THE RING. CONCLUSION: PACQUIAO IS RIGHT IN FILING THE SUIT BUT THAT IS NOT ENOUGH!!! HE SHOULD ALSO FILE A DISCRIMINATION SUIT because he is being singled out in this case. Why doesn’t Mayweather demand that Hatton, Marquez or any of his previous opponents undergo these stringent tests? By demanding these tests on Pacquiao, Mayweather is implying that a man coming from a small Asian race could not be able to go up in weight and yet retain his speed and power if he is not taking illegal substances! This is not only defamatory it is also extremely discriminatory towards Asian fighters in general and Filipino fighters in particular. This is saying that no matter how good a small fighter is he cannot go up in weight and retain his legitimacy unless he accedes to be blood-tested 100% of the time.

It looks like Mr. Pleas Kavanaugh does not read or researcn very well before he writes.
Superstion or afraid of needles did not come from Pacman’s mouth it came from others. The real reason for not submitting is because if blood is drawn from him 48 hrs before the fght he is afraid it will weaken him as it did during his first fight with Morales when he suffered his third loss. Pacqauio knows his power is what can beat Floyd whereas Floyds tactics can beat Pacqauio. By weakening both fighters due to blood test before the fight, Floyd will have a huge advantage because Pacqauio is not as good a tactician as Floyd and will no longer have the power he once had.
Besides, Pacqauio agreed to a blood test immediately after the fight which is just as good as before it. So Mr. Pleas Kavanaugh
the issue for Pac is the loss of power before the fight. Mayweather knows it and he knows Pac will not agree such a demand and Mayweather will not budge because he really did not want to fight Pacquaio when hes 100%.

For the other races, one will submit to a test to prove to other people that they are wrong. For most Filipinos, it is, “Why should I do the test when I know I haven’t done anything wrong? If he takes the random testing and lose the fight because it already weakens him, the Mayweather will only say the Manny’s taking PED steroid has been prevented thats why he lost the fight. It’s a great move by the Pacman to sue them. If the Mayweather believes that PED and steroid will make the fighter becomes stronger, then why not shoved that drugs to his son’s throat and fight the Pacman.
And because Pacman cannot match the Mayweather’s rhetoric trash talking, that’s why he is suing them. I will assure you Manny will comply himself to any drug testing either by blood or any means in a proper forum, but not in Mayweather Monkey Show which you belong.

The accusers are pretty silent now. They are surely in the bad light and it is not good to enter the new year with a lawsuit! They are the victims of their own folly. Suddenly, they now realized that we are living in a civilized world. They just cannot imagine how a poor little boy from a third world country wrought havoc in the arena of world boxing! This poor little boy invaded A M E R I C A with his blistering speed, blinding fist and his humility.
Floyd Jr. said that this little brown guy is one dimensional boxer, that he’ll knock him out, that Pacquiao is an easy fight for him. Floyd Sr. said that Pacquiao is certainly not in the same league with his son, that his son is the best boxer in the world!
So why afraid? They should have welcome the Pacquiao fight with open arms! Now they’re in a fight with THE PEOPLE’S CHAMP in a different arena and the burden of proof is on their side. Pacquiao will knock them out in the boxing ring and in the court of law!
